1. About ElectriciansNI

ElectriciansNI is a trading name of StudioY Ltd. We operate as an introductory service only. We connect homeowners and property owners in Northern Ireland with independent local electrical tradespeople. We are not an electrical company and we do not employ any electricians or tradespeople.

2. Nature of service

ElectriciansNI provides an introductory service only. When you contact us we pass your enquiry details to an independent local tradesperson who will contact you directly. Any contract for electrical work is formed directly between you and the tradesperson. ElectriciansNI is not a party to that contract.

3. No liability for work carried out

ElectriciansNI accepts no liability whatsoever for:

• The quality, standard or outcome of any work carried out by a tradesperson
• Any damage to property arising from work carried out
• Any personal injury arising from work carried out
• Any loss of earnings or consequential losses of any kind
• A tradesperson failing to attend, failing to complete work or abandoning a job
• Any electrical faults or failures arising after work has been carried out

4. NICEIC Registration

We recommend that all customers verify that any electrician attending their property is NICEIC registered or approved by another recognised body such as NAPIT before permitting any electrical work to begin. You can verify registration at niceic.com. ElectriciansNI does not guarantee the NICEIC status of any tradesperson introduced through our service.

5. Safety

Electrical work carries inherent safety risks. We strongly recommend that all electrical work is carried out by a qualified, registered electrician. Never attempt to carry out electrical work yourself. If you believe there is an immediate danger to life please call 999 immediately and contact your electricity network operator.

6. Independent contractors

All tradespeople introduced through ElectriciansNI are independent contractors. They are not employees, agents or representatives of ElectriciansNI or StudioY Ltd. ElectriciansNI has no control over the methods, timing or quality of work carried out by any tradesperson.

7. Pricing

ElectriciansNI does not set, control or guarantee the pricing of any tradesperson. All pricing is agreed directly between you and the tradesperson before work begins. We strongly recommend obtaining a written quote before authorising any work.

8. Emergency situations

ElectriciansNI will make reasonable efforts to connect you with a local electrician quickly in emergency situations. However we cannot guarantee response times and accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from delays in connecting you with a tradesperson. In cases of immediate electrical danger please call 999 or your network operator first.

9. Complaints

If you have a complaint about the work carried out by a tradesperson your complaint should be directed to the tradesperson directly. ElectriciansNI is not able to resolve disputes between homeowners and tradespeople however we welcome feedback at info@studio-y.co.uk

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law ElectriciansNI and StudioY Ltd’s total liability to you in connection with the use of this service shall not exceed £0 as we provide an introductory service at no charge to the homeowner.

11. Use of this website

You agree to use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not use this site to submit false or misleading enquiries.

12. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
